The creators of Asheville's popular Blind Pig Supper Club will open a restaurant in downtown Asheville, according to a press release Monday.

After seven years of producing pop-up dinners and donating a portion of the proceeds to over 100 local and national charitable organizations and community causes, the creators of the Blind Pig Supper Club say they will now turn their talents to a new restaurant venture.

Mike and Darlene Moore join with Steve and Samantha Goff to open their new restaurant at 68 and 68 1/2 North Lexington Avenue in the former Crepe Bouree and Vincent’s Ear locations in downtown Asheville. 

Michael Moore is a former co-owner and chef of Seven Sows in Asheville. He and his wife Darlene are the driving force behind Blind Pig. Steve Goff is an Asheville chef and was the former chef owner of the King James Public House. 

The new restaurant will be called AUX Bar, and will serve seasonally driven American cuisine for brunch, lunch, dinner, and late nights. The AUX bar will also include a newly constructed outdoor patio bar, and several custom-built wood fired grills.

Currently, the Moores and the Goffs plan to open AUX bar around February 22, 2018. 

The release says that Blind Pig will continue its pop-up dinners in Asheville and Raleigh-Durham, even planning to expand the series later in 2018 into Wilmington, N.C. 

The release also states that Blind Pig joins with Goff's food truck, Brinehaus Mobile Kitchen, for catering in and around the Asheville area.
